I am Anke van der Meer. Born in the summer of 1981 in Nijmegen. I grew up in the south of the Netherlands and now I live and study in Breda. I attend the art academy St. Joost, where I study Graphic Design. I plan to graduate in 2012.

The Zoe begun while doodling. First Leo the Lion and Garry the Giraffe and the more I worked with these drawings, the more animals moved in the Zoe. The concept of the Zoe is that every animal is a little bit strange. For instance Gido who, when he sneezes looses all his spots. Or Garry, who roars so loud all the animals get scared and run away (he now only roars really softly).

It is on my to-do-list to write a children's book about these animals.
